TALL (Thermalhydraulic Ads Lead-bismuth Loop)

The TALL facility is located by the Division of Nuclear Power Safety; Royal Institute of Technology, (KTH); Stockholm, Sweden.

Capabilities

• To perform the medium-scale heat transfer experiments of different heat exchangers
• Investigation on LBE flow and heat transfer with prototypic thermalhydraulic conditions
• Thermal-hydraulic characteristics of natural and forced circulation under steady and transient conditions
• To perform tests representative for accident scenarios and to strengthen the database for code validations
• Set-up of thermalhydraulic data base for physical model and code validation
